30, March, 2004 Gregg to be Featured on Louisiana Blues Compilation CD!! With the assistance of the Baton Rouge Blues Foundation's Johnny Palazzotto, Gregg Wright's "Mama Made Gumbo" from his album "Lightning Strike!!!" will be featured alongside a bevy of Louisiana Blues greats, on the up-coming Blues compilation CD "Capital City Blues, Volume 1". The CD, put out by the Baton Rouge Blues Society, is for the benefit of the Slim Harpo Music Education Fund. "I am ecstatic at being included in the Capital City Blues CD CD" says Gregg. "Louisiana is such a huge part of my musical make-up. It's a wonderful opportunity to give something back to a completely magical and wonderful place, where I initially learned so much!" Gregg will be appearing at Phil Brady's in Baton Rouge, for Baton Rouge Blues Week, Friday April 30, 2004. Gregg Wright is scheduled to perform at the annual Blues Week Festival (April 25-May 2, 2004) in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Friday April 30th, 2004. It will be Gregg's first time performing in the "Bayou State" in nearly 20 years. Says Gregg, "I'm really excited to return to Louisiana to play! It's been far too long. I have lots of good friends down there, and it's really where I first honed my skills as a performer and musician.
