3 January, 2008 "Gregg Wright Band Named KPFK-90.7's "Blues Power" Band!" Gregg Wright and his powerful Blues Band make their 2008 debut as the official in-studio house band tonight, on KPFK 90.7- FM in Los Angeles' "Blues Power" show, with hosts Bobbee Zeno and Louise Foster. Gregg and his band (Ron Battle-Bass, Leon Abner-Drums, Joel Scott and Norman Weatherly-Keyboards), will perform live on the air, doing original & classic Blues. They'll also be the backing band for "Blues Power" guest artists. The Gregg Wright Blues Band can be heard every 1st and 2nd Thursday of each month on "Blues Power" on KPFK-90.7 FM Los Angeles, 98.7 FM Santa Barbara and on the worldwide web at http://www.kpfk.org Showtime: 10:30 PM Pacific Standard Time 12 October, 2007 "Gregg's Autumn 2007 U.K. Tour moved to Spring '08" Gregg Wright's Autumn 2007 U.K. Tour has been moved to April through May of 2008. The rescheduled tour will include several European dates. The tour will begin Saturday, April 19, 2008 with Gregg headlining the Delirium Blues Festival in Handzame Belgium. More dates to be announced. 10 September, 2007 "New Book Names Wright "One Of The Left Handed Guitarists That Changed Music!" Gregg Wright is named and featured in a new double volume, hardback book titled "Uncommon Sound: The Left Handed Guitarists That Changed Music" by author/musician John Engel. Wright is profiled along with hundreds of "lefties" including Albert King, Jimi Hendrix, Coco Montoya, Elliott Easton and a host of fiercely independent -minded guitarists. Many profiled in the book are "left-handed/upside down" players (heavy strings on the bottom!), something Gregg shares in common with Albert King and Jimmy Cliff. 10 September, 2007 "Gregg Wright Gets Top Billing at 2008 Belgian Blues Festival"!! Gregg Wright will be the headline artist at the 2008 Delirium Blues Festival, to be held in Handzame, Belgium, Saturday, April 19, 2008. "I'm really looking forward to playing there and making new friends. It's very exciting and an honor to be given top billing" says Gregg.
